'88 Hetfield

These are the things that inspire & interest me. Music, film, literature. Love & Life. Glamour & Trash. Rock-N-Roll to Hip-Hop by way of Electronica, Sometimes all at once.

You have been warned.

Once in a while I might get a little personal.

Pat, unfortunately you are going and we will not see each other anymore on a daily basis. It is very sad, but I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for having been a competent, loyal partner and a great fighter. We have done great things together, but I know that without you we would not have done them. Forever in my heart you will always be one of the great guys I have met in my life. Football allows that and hopefully you can come to Arsenal again and we will maybe share, not a great game, but a great glass of wine together. Have a good time.

Arsene Wenger.

Run DMC :: King OF Rock

I’ve spent the whole day watching my Beastie Boy DVDs, listening to their albums and looking through the Sounds Of Science book - I even went as far as watching the tribute by Coldplay, which was surprisingly sweet.
I can honestly say that Friday’s news that MCA had passed away hit me straight in the gut, I felt physically sick and I had to fight back tears. Which seems ridiculous when you consider that I’m 35 on Tuesday, but along with Prince, the Beasties were a major part of my musical journey. I have every single one of their albums, every book written about them, their DVDs, I know every song, I still want to be Mike D in the Shake Your Rump video.
These guys were my youth, I’ve lost a part of that youth now.
I’ll never lose the music though, too many classics.
My love and best wishes go out to Adam’s wife and daughter, Ad-Rock and Mike D.
R.I.P. MCA, you made a difference to mine and so many others lives. You will be missed.
Can’t stop, won’t stop.

Everyone knows I’m obsessed with these guys, right?
